Beginning on the Palo Alto‑Pocahontas County line at a point near the SW Corner Section 31‑T94N‑R32W, Palo Alto County (NW Corner Section 6‑T93N‑R32W, Pocahontas County); thence north following substantially the section line to the south corporation line of the City of Emmetsburg, connecting with Broadway Street.

Beginning again on the west corporation line of the City of Emmetsburg, connecting with an unnamed street at a point approximately 1100 feet north of the SE Corner Section 23‑T96N‑R33W; thence north to a point approximately 1600 feet south of the NE Corner Section 23-T96N‑R33W; thence curving in a northwesterly direction to a point approximately 1800 feet west of the NE Corner Section 23‑T96N‑R33W; thence west following substantially the section line to the SW Corner Section 16‑T96N‑R33W; thence north following substantially the section line to a point on the west side of the Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railway near the E ¼ Corner Section 5‑T97N‑R33W; thence in a northwesterly direction along the west side of said railway, substantially parallel thereto, through Section 5‑T97N‑R33W, to the Palo Alto‑Emmet County line at a point approximately ¼ mile west of the NE Corner Section 5‑T97N‑R33W, Palo Alto County (SE Corner Section 32-T98N-R33W, Emmet County).

Access Control Classification

Pocahontas County line to south corporation line of Emmetsburg is a Class IV road, west corporation line of Emmetsburg to west junction US 18 is a Class III road, west junction US 18 to Emmet County line is a Class IV road.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT THE DESCRIPTION OF Iowa 17 in Palo Alto County in the Commission's minutes of April 14, 1937 is hereby adopted and the attached description is adopted.
